Ministries

Racial Justice

Reconciliation is the journey of joining Jesus in restoring broken relationships and systems through truth-telling, repentance, and forgiveness to reveal God's kingdom.

Racial Justice & Reconciliation Ministry

You’re invited to be formed by God’s heart of justice, restoration, and repair through the Ministry of Racial Justice and Reconciliation. Together we are part of the diverse Body of Christ, held together by the Holy Spirit.

Upcoming Events

As a part of our discipleship, racial justice and reconciliation is something that we DO together! Connect to opportunities for community, growth, and engagement across Bethany – from restorative circles, to POC gatherings, to racial justice pilgrimages, to learning groups.

As a community, we are committed to:

1. Bring our understanding and experiences of culture, ethnicity, and race into the realm of discipleship.

2. Respond to racism and racial harm with God’s justice and reconciliation (Eph 2:14, 1 Cor 5:18-19).

3. Celebrate racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity as the gift God made it to be (Gen 1:27) and that is reflected in God’s kingdom (Rev 7:9).

Healing and Reconciliation Process

We are learning from the field of restorative justice to deepen the conversation about race in the context of our faith and to build a culture of connection and restoration.

Restorative Circles
Join these informal, small group settings as we share, listen, and are heard in our experiences of culture, race, and ethnicity.

Facilitated Dialogue
Structure and support to bring people into conversation after relational breaks and hurts across different racial, ethnic, and cultural experiences.
