Women

Community-Groups-Greenlake.jpg

Women’s Ministries at Bethany Green Lake seeks to provide opportunities for women to draw closer to Christ, to fellowship with other Bethany women, and to support and encourage one another. We invite you to step into God’s story and be transformed through Bible studies, support groups, service opportunities, and special events. Individually and together, let’s share the joy and hope of Christ with our community.

Study Groups

Thursday Bible Studies

Thursdays, Picking back up January 13, 10am or 7pm, $35, Virtual and in-person options available, Register
As we head into winter and spring, we’re looking forward to creatively and safely connecting with each other while growing in our relationship with the Lord as we continue to study the book of Exodus. Depending on your personal preference, you may attend an online small group or a small group that meets in-person, either on the Bethany campus or in a private home. If you select to meet in person, you will be meeting with your small group only. Due to COVID, we are not planning any large in-person gatherings for the next few months.

If you are planning on attending the Thursday morning study in-person and would like to register kids (0-5 yrs old) for our children's program, you will be able to do so on the second page of this registration.

Our program fee of $35 covers study materials, administrative costs, and a very small portion of the childcare costs for in-person participants on Thursday morning. As a ministry, we are committed to our core values of welcoming hospitality and caring for one another. Sharing the cost of childcare between all of us–regardless of which study we choose to attend–is one way in which we seek to live out these values. You will have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute further towards our childcare costs as you submit your program fee. If you have questions or concerns around this or if you are in need of a scholarship, please reach out to Megan Dobrasz prior to registering.

Finally, note that for some, this study of Exodus started in October but the study content and participants are set up so that people can join in at any point during the session. We’re really glad to have you jump in.

MOPS is planning to be back in-person this fall! We are so excited to welcome you into our space for community and a chance to grow in our faith together. Welcoming a new baby into your family is such an exciting time, but it also comes with its fair share of difficulty, from those sleepless nights to feeding issues. At MOPS we welcome you and your children just as you are. MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) is a program for moms who have kids birth-5 years old. New this year of MOPS, we will additionally be providing supervision for homeschooled kids older than 5 years old! MOPS provides you with a supportive community of women who are going through the same phase of life and can relate to the joys and struggles that you may be facing. You can expect community and discussion time with other women, and a different speaker each week. MOPS is a place where you can take a deep breath, relax and enjoy being in the company of other women. We will be allowing each mom to request one table mate. Requests need to be mutual on both moms' registrations, so please touch base with your fellow mom prior to registering so our registration team can do our best to honor your requests.

MOPS COVID protocol will align with the Bethany Green Lake Family Ministry safety plan found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v4oEWhlzJlFKoMGGgV78ElKTLCuZpmjWp1g91uvQKHQ/edit?usp=sharing

MENTORING at Bethany

Mentoring is a beautiful opportunity to step into our call to be the church as Christ's body (Ephesians 4:11-16). As a church, God has designed our lives to be woven together. Having a mentor to walk alongside us in our faith journey can have an eternal impact whether the relationship carries for a few weeks, months, or continues through a lifelong friendship!

Finding A Mentor

Whether you are a woman in the workforce, a stay at home mom, or both, it’s likely that you find yourself wanting the comfort and encouragement of someone who has “gone before”.

Most thriving mentor relationships happen naturally and are mentee-driven. This is why Bethany’s approach to starting a mentoring relationship is “Name it, Frame it, Find it, and Follow Through”. Check out this form to be guided through finding a mentor. If you find yourself stuck in the process or have any questions, email Petra Malekzadeh at petram@churchbcc.org.

Being A Mentor

If you are interested in walking alongside others, contact Petra Malekzadeh. Your story, no matter how small you think it is, is a gift to others. God uses the body of Christ as a walking, talking, testimony to His goodness.

Filling out this google form will not automatically commit you to a mentoring relationship. You will always be contacted by a staff member before a potential mentee is connected with you.
