Welcome to the college ministry at Bethany Community Church, Green Lake! We are so glad you’re looking to get involved. Our hope is that you find a home here at Bethany as you navigate the college years. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you are welcome here!

College Ministry aims to disciple and encourage students as they deepen their relationship with Christ. We see this happening primarily through connections and relationships with other students, as well as with those who are a little further down the road of life. The college ministry gathers weekly in small groups throughout the city, on or near college campuses, led by those who've navigated the waters of the college years and are eager to help you do the same. Whether you’re a freshman just starting classes, a senior getting ready to face your career, or somewhere in between, we’re looking forward to meeting you, having fun, and sharing life together.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or if you’re simply interested in grabbing coffee. Below are a few ways you might consider getting involved this fall.

During this time of social distancing, we would love to stay connected with you. Please connect with us via Instagram or Facebook!

College Small Groups

Small groups are the lifeblood of Bethany Green Lake’s college ministry. Led by nonstudents who are a little further down the road of life, these weekly groups are a place for you to be known, meet others, study the Word, pray for one another, and laugh your heart out. Groups typically meet near campuses, and all have rides available. Contact Isabella to register, and we will contact you about your placement.

MENTORING

Mentoring is a beautiful opportunity to step into our call to be the church: Christ's body (Ephesians 4:11-16). As a church, God has designed our lives to be woven together. Having a mentor to walk alongside us in our faith journey can have an eternal impact whether the relationship carries for a few weeks, months, or continues through years of your college career and beyond!

Finding A Mentor

College is both a wonderful and challenging season as you begin your adult life. As a student, it's likely that you have experienced radical transition and growth and may find yourself wanting the guidance of a mentor who has "gone before."

Most thriving mentor relationships happen naturally and are mentee-driven. This is why Bethany’s approach to starting a mentoring relationship is “Name it, Frame it, Find it, and Follow Through”. Follow this link to be guided through finding a mentor. If you find yourself stuck in the process or have any questions, email Isabella Branstrom at isabellab@churchbcc.org.

Being A Mentor

If you are interested in walking alongside others, sign up to be a mentor! Your story, no matter how small you think it is, is a gift to others. God uses the body of Christ as a walking, talking, testimony to His goodness.

Filling out this Google form will not automatically commit you to a mentoring relationship. You will always be contacted by a staff member before a potential mentee is connected with you.
