Youth Foundations Class

The Foundations Class will be a once-a-month class offered on Sunday mornings for high schoolers. The goal of the class is to give our students a strong foundation of faith that will carry them into a life of following Christ well beyond their youth. It will be styled after a confirmation class and the first year will be centered on the theme of "orthodoxy." In that vein, students will be tasked with a year-long project to compose their own statement of faith from what they learn with the option to present it to the congregation and make the choice to be baptized (if not already baptized) at the end of the class.

They also will have a mentor that they will meet with throughout the year as well who will help them with their statement of faith as well as invest in them relationally throughout the process.

As part of the class, we will have lunch together every month to build relationship and create time to ask questions to our guest speakers, thus we are asking for a fee to help cover lunches over the year. We also will make it possible for students to have a mentor that they meet with throughout the course of the class. They will meet a minimum of two times together, potentially more if scheduling allows. The fee will help cover their meetings.

  • As always, we are committed to making sure all students can participate in this event and so scholarships are available, simply reach out to Nathan Seppi (nathans@churchbcc.org) to inquire.
