Forest Faith: How to live a life rooted in Christ

We live in a world where every day we're swimming in an ocean of lies and half-truths, and these pollutants are hard on our soul. To the extent that we believe cultural lies, shaming lies, body image lies, and more, our world shrinks and we quickly lose our sense of assurance, peace, and calling.

This is why Jesus said that those who abide in Christ will "know the truth, and the truth will set you free." In this invitation and promise, He's calling us to live out from an entirely different reality than the commerce, politics, and striving that inform our culture. We can rise above all that and function as people of hope, living out from a space of freedom and peace.

How? The answer's available in a practicum offered by Richard Dahlstrom on Saturday, May 20 from 9:30am-2:30pm in the Bethany Green Lake Chapel. Richard will explain the difference between the prevailing domination models that drive too much of our daily lives and Jesus' way of shalom, then offer us practical steps we can take to live more consistently grounding the realities of Shalom and the Kingdom of God.

This class is based on Forest Faith, Richard's most recent book, and will include both the theory and practice of meditation and prayer.

Lunch, snacks, and other hospitality are included in the registration fee of $35. If you need financial assistance in order to attend this experience, please reach out to us prior to registration!
