Northeast Fall Commissioning Service
Sunday, October 12 | Service at 9:30am with Lunch to Follow
As we conclude our series on Nehemiah, we will gather during our regular Sunday morning worship service for a special time of prayer and commissioning. We believe God is calling each of us to serve Him in the unique places He has placed us—whether in our families, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, or other ministries. Together, we will prayerfully send one another into these callings, asking God to strengthen us in areas such as family, justice, leadership, relationship, and worship. Our desire is to go out united as His people, ready to join Him in His work.
After the service, we will continue the celebration with food from Mojito and fellowship. Come ready to be encouraged, sent, and reminded that we carry the light of Christ wherever we go.
Preparing for Commissioning
As we prepare for commissioning, we pause to notice God’s presence and call in this season. In the coming weeks, we invite you to reflect on these questions as you discern what you’d like our community to commission you into this year:
- Where have I recently seen God at work in my life or become aware of His presence?
- Where do I sense God’s invitation to love, serve, and share Christ in my relationships, responsibilities, or spaces (family, work, school, neighborhood, etc.)?
- I want my church community to pray over and commission me into __________________.
