MRJR Self-Guided Pilgrimage
Expanding our understanding of our neighborhoods through the story and perspective of indigenous and marginalized communities so that we will be curious about God’s work of justice and reconciliation in our context.
In 2023, a group from Bethany participated in our first MRJR Pilgrimage in Seattle's Central District. This walking tour connected us with the story of redlining in Seattle, a practice that impacted the racial and social dynamics of our city and country. Our guide has since collaborated with others in Seattle to create a self-guided tour.
Consider inviting a friend or family member to join you this summer as you prepare, experience the pilgrimage, and reflect. May God meet you as you journey.
