Local Outreach at Bethany North

Local Outreach at Bethany North exists to shine a light into our community by meeting people in their places of need and walking with them toward mutual growth and healing. These ministries seek to encourage and inspire our church members to a lifestyle of sharing God’s love in their everyday lives and to building bridges between the social and cultural divides in our community.

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST ON AURORA

Our mission is to be people who exist to shine a light into our community by meeting people in their place of need and walking with them toward mutual growth and healing through relationship and hospitality. One way of doing this is by serving breakfast once a month on Tuesday. We want to encourage you to join the Community Breakfast on Aurora team as we share God’s love and strive to build bridges between the social and cultural divides in our community. Contact Pastor Raoul Perez.

LOCAL PARTNERS WITH BETHANY NORTH

Through long-term partnerships with organizations that empower members of our local community, we are seeking to participate in God's transformative work in our city. Together, we develop ministries among our neighbors, share resources, learn, pray, and encourage one another.

At Bethany Community Church, our partnerships with local organizations are making the invisible God visible by embodying the presence of Christ among the most vulnerable in our city.

CAMP ATTITUDE

Bethany North joins to support the needs and activities of camp so parents can get a much needed respite. Camp Attitude is a family camp specifically for kids with special needs. Contact Anna Guerrero.

Bethany North in addition to financial support, we provide the children with Christmas presents that are donated through our annual Giving Tree. WORLD RELIEF SEATTLE

World Relief Seattle empowers the local Church to come alongside refugees and immigrants throughout the Puget Sound region. It provides resettlement, employment, language, and legal services to help our newest neighbors work towards self-sufficiency. Find volunteer opportunities at worldreliefseattle.org.

In accordance with its mission for refugees and immigrants to be welcomed by community, rooted in community, and empowered for community, BCC has partnered with WRS to form Good Neighbor Teams (see video below). These teams of lay volunteers from different BCC locations are equipped and invited to walk alongside a refugee or Asylee family through the initial six month resettlement process. Our aim is to nurture relationships with families and individuals that are lasting, promote human flourishing, and are mutually transformative. Email Nathan Nelson for info on the next GNT.
