The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

Seasons: A Time for Something New
Acts 1
Richard Dahlstrom, Senior Pastor, stepbystepjourney.com

The life for which we’re created requires an embracing of our identity as witness, and a reception of the Holy Spirit’s fullness as the only means of making that witness effective. This reality is revealed as old questions give way to a new identity, and a new way of doing life.

Old Questions (v6-7)

New Identity (v8)

New Way of Doing Life (v4-5, 8)

     b. What are the places that are tougher?

3. For those of us who know about the power of the Holy Spirit how easy is it to be open to following the Spirit’s prompting?

     b. If it’s not easy, what do you think is your hesitation?
