Discussion Questions
Before questions, attempt to give the group a bit of a summary of the main points of the sermon and then choose a few questions that fit your group’s needs and style. We don’t intend for you to use all of these. Three to five questions may be a good number.
Begin by reading Ephesians 4:1-6 aloud, taking turns reading the passage.
Pray over the group before beginning discussion.
Have you had an opportunity to encourage someone this past week in light of last week’s sermons?
Do you ever struggle with having beliefs that are reflecting the culture more than scripture?
Do you struggle with those around you having beliefs that are reflecting culture more than scripture?
Reflect on these beliefs as a group and give each other permission to ask questions about those beliefs you might disagree with. Be curious about each other’s viewpoints. [Suggestion: Ask “Tell me more about that.”]
When you consider the ways in which you as an individual reflect the character of God, how might God be calling you to use those characteristics to seek peace and further justice?
How might God be calling you to reconcile relationships that have been broken by not having the same mind?
Pastor Richard said “to make God’s character visible is your calling.” How have you been able to live out that calling?
How have you failed in that calling?
