The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

Easter Sunday
Luke 24: 1-2

1. Luke 24:1-12 invites us to a world of wonder. Wonder it terms of curiosity and wonder in terms of amazement.
When it comes to Easter this year which type of wonder is more accessible to you?
Which is further from you? Why?

2. In point #1, Love Leads to Engagement, it was said: "we don't show up to get something from Jesus, we show up to love Jesus."
How does this strike you?
How do these two aspects make sense as a contrast to each other?

3. What's one way that's relatively easy for you to love Jesus?

4. Richard saw this text inviting us to pay attention, to see what Jesus was saying around us.
What's one way you've seen Jesus in the last week?
On the contrary, what pulls your attention away & leads you to put people & things into big bins as opposed to paying attention?

5. When it comes to looking leading to seeing we're all beginners in ongoing need of revelation, is there a particular topic or situation that you'd like God's revelation?
Or said another way, is there a place/situation/relationship where you'd like to stoke the fire of wondering & conversation?

6.As Richard asked at the end, where is God speaking to you?
Your habits of listening?
Looking & daring to believe?
Some other way?
