The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

· When have you changed a habit? What motivated you do this? What process did you go through as you incorporated this new habit into your life?
· Read Romans 12:1 & 2
What does this have to say about habits?
· Read Matt.7:13,14.
What does this have to say about habits?
· How would you describe a rule of life? What questions or concerns do you have when you think about a rule of life?
· How is your motivation for these habits different than the motivation you had in the change of habit you mentioned above?
· What have you lost in your spiritual life that you would like to regain? OR what would you like to gain in your spiritual life? What habit may help you move toward that? What attitude, when incorporated as a habit, would help you move toward regaining what has been lost? Or sustaining what you hope for?
· As you look over the inhaling habits, in what areas would you like to continue doing what you are doing? What habit would you like to develop? What will you do to start?
· What exhaling habit or habits will you continue? What exhaling habit would you like to incorporate? What step will you take to do that?
· Spend time in your group or with a friend and family member going over the rule of life commitment card and share the one you most hope you are successful at and why.
· Bathe this with grace. Consistency trumps volume. Community trumps individuality. Which of these encourages you most as you set out on this new endeavor?
· How can you spur one another on to maintain and grow in these habits?
