The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

· When asked in an interview what your weaknesses are, what do you say?

· When has God met you in your time of weakness? When has He used others to help you?

· What makes it difficult to admit weakness? What emotions are attached to weakness?

· What does it mean to be adopted into the family of God? What can God in Christ do and be for you that your earthly family never could?

· What are you groaning for? Where does hope fit in to your longing?

· Luke 1:26-38. How was Mary called to hope? How did she step in?

· What did it cost those around her to step into this hope?

· How do you create space for those around you to step into a new hope?

· For what are you, your family, your friends longing this Advent that only the Holy Spirit can give?

· How can you spend time this season to nurture the longing of Christ in the midst of the busyness of December?

· How can you be open and vulnerable this season? What is at stake?

· Who in your life needs to be carried? How can you participate in bringing hope to them?

· What might God be asking you to receive from Him?
