· How easy is it for you to imagine yourself sitting quietly in a room alone? How long do you think you could do it?
· Can you think of experiences you have had that have taught you contentment?
· What are barriers to your contentment?
· How would you describe the void in your life? When do you feel it most?
· Where in your life might you be on the cusp of being initiated into contentment?
· How has disappointment led you to intimacy with Christ? How satisfied are you with the privilege of knowing Jesus? What makes it hard to accept that Jesus is enough?
· When have you received something through the generosity of another?
· When have you been an agent of God’s generosity?
· Who/what do you consider your source of provision?
· What fills your hands, making it difficult to receive the riches of what Jesus desires to give you?
· Is giving or receiving easiest for you? Why do you think that is?
· What role does joy play in your life? What shrouds your joy?
· When have you found joy in unexpected and/or unwanted circumstances?
· Where is Jesus inviting you to enter in and find joy in an unwanted circumstance?
· Who can pray with you to enter in and find contentment and joy in this circumstance, because of Christ?
