The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

· Is there a burden you are carrying that no one else knows about?
· Is there a time when hearing a “popular” scripture felt like a platitude or trite?
· What do you know God will provide?
· What is your “what if” situation that is causing anxiety or fear? What anxiety are you currently facing?
· When have you included God at the beginning of something? At the end? What about the in-between?
· When have you experienced a thought-out place that made you feel included or invited?
· Where have you felt secure? What were the conditions around that?
· Who helps you to slow down in life?
· Do you resonate more with the metaphorical or physical table?
· Is there a fear driving your actions and interaction with others?
· Admitting we all do this, where do you actively curse others?
· Where or in who, do you need to see the humanity in another?
· Where have you heard the Divine Call in your life?
· Where are you, like David, injured? Where are you, like David, hurting others or actively wishing others harm?
· Where have you been healed in the past? Where do you wish for healing in the future?
· What are you gripping tightly?
· What fears do you need to surrender and trust God with?
· What can you hold with an open hand?
· Preparing for Easter, is Jesus’ trust in the Father even when he knew what was coming, an encouragement to you?
