The 2020 Advent Devotional was created in tandem with a special Advent Box containing materials to complete each activity/practice at the beginning of the week. However, if you did not receive a box, most of the activities can be recreated with items from around your house or neighborhood! We look forward to celebrating this season of hope and expectation with you—share your photos on social media and tag us along the way @bethanygreenlake!

· Read Ephesians 2:11–22
· Richard mentioned how he encountered a dividing wall that prevented him from being on the basketball team in High School. He also mentioned being inside the dividing wall that kept others out of the school bands. Have you encountered such walls before? Where?

· What is the result of this wall being broken down for Jews? for Gentiles?
· Richard spoke of dividing walls in the church. Thinking on a larger scale, for example between denominations or wings of the church such as left and right, where are there dividing walls between Christians?
· What does Christ's unifying work on the cross mean for these dividing walls?
· How are we called to act in light of these walls?
· What are some practical ways that we can work toward unity?
· What dividing walls to you see in the church at a more personal level?
-Where do you see yourself as divided from other brothers and sisters in Christ?
· Why do these divisions exist?
-What is the source of the alienation causing those walls?
· How are you called to act in light of these walls?
