How will we spend this one precious life? Will we follow the oft-repeated human experience of Babylon and build towers out of ego, self-sufficiency, and fear? Or will we, like Abraham, go and build altars - places of encounter, transformation, and worship? If we want to build altars instead of towers, we will need different tools from the ones we’re accustomed to using.
