Talking to Kids About Fear

In a time where we as adults are dealing with a lot of uncertainty and unknowns, it’s hard to know just where to start when communicating with our kids as we face the reality of a coronavirus outbreak. There are a few key ways of starting a conversation with your child about coronavirus.  For Parents - How to Talk to Kids about Fear.

Family Ministries at Bethany Eastside focus on providing Bible-based Christian education for all ages through fun and safe Sunday morning classes, and through empowering families to engage in the story of God throughout their week together. Our goal for kid’s and youth ministry is to help students grow in their love for Jesus and others.

As this is the greatest commandment, extending and teaching the love and grace of God is of the utmost importance for us. We believe children learn to embody this love and grace as we, the church, model it in our families and within the community of believers. Join us as we journey and learn together!

Sunday Mornings

At Bethany Eastside, we have a talented team of servant leaders and teachers serving our children’s ministry led by our Interim Family & Outreach Ministries Director, Stephanie Parkins. Upon arriving at Bethany Eastside, there is a table to the left of the Sanctuary for new families to register and check-in, where we invite your children to participate in a number of ways:

  • Nursery (0–24 months)
  • Preschool (2–5 years)
  • Older kids (K–5th grades)

Every month, our tween group (ages 8–12) gets together for fun activities where we play together, and grow in our relationship with Christ. For more info, contact us!
