Veritas Student Ministries

Veritas Ministries is a place for you to connect with others, grow in faith, be mentored by supportive leaders, and discover who God is calling you to be. Did we mention it's a ton of fun? Interested? Check out our events and groups for high school and middle school students, pick one, and jump in.

To connect with our peers and those of different generations so that we might see and show others the Kingdom of God.

To learn who Jesus is and who we are in light of all that He has done for us on the cross.
Evangelism: To be passionate about sharing the awesome news of Jesus's everlasting love for us.

To love others by serving with enthusiasm and imagination, both within our church congregation and in our local community.

To learn what it's like to live our lives as daily worship to God, honoring His glory and grace in all we do, not only through music and singing.

Carpe Diem! Winter Camp 2017 is coming! Register your student for this incredible experience! Snow, music, playing, dancing, sports, teaching, friendship, and fun are all things that your kids will encounter at this year's Winter Camp at Ghormley Meadows! Winter Camp is the biggest event of the Veritas year. We want your student to step in to the story God is writing in their lives while building relationships with their friends, with nature, with their leaders and with the community of faith. There are scholarships available and we have a discount for families with more than one student attending.

FAQ for New Families

How long has the pastor of student ministries worked with kids?

Nick Steinloski, our Pastor of Student Ministries, has been working with students for over 20 years. He has four daughters of his own; the eldest is now entering his program.

What is the mission or purpose of youth ministry at Bethany?

Veritas exists to reach students, equip them in their faith, and send them to reach their communities.

How do I know I can trust my kids with the youth leaders?

Each of our youth leaders have had extensive training, and many have led for years. We also run background checks, require a application with references, and conduct interviews with everyone.

How do I stay informed with what's going on?

Sign up for Pastor Nick's weekly emails about what to expect at youth group, what your kids will be learning, and how you can talk to them. He also shares information about the leaders who are involved and upcoming events. You can also visit the Veritas website for more info.

How do you partner with parents?

We don't see ourselves as simply a youth ministry but rather as a family ministry. We desire to see families grow in faith and community, and we hope parents will see this as a tool to help them develop their students in both life and faith.

If I had to choose one thing for my kids to fit in their schedule, what do you suggest?

Time to spend with God is the most valuable thing often missing from a teen's life. Whether your child is in community learning about Jesus or with family reading the Bible and applying its lessons, making God a priority is paramount.
