Tim Nygard
Accounting Manager
How long have you been working at Bethany, and what is it you do here?
I’be been the Accounting Manager/Keeping track of money person since January 2, 2008.
What is your greatest accomplishment that isn’t work- or school-related?
I enjoyed the dietary luxuries of a platinum meal plan at SPU’s cafeteria for an entire school year…without paying.
If you could travel back in time to your high school graduation, and you had a full ride to the college of your choice…where would you go and what would you study?
I would attend the University of Bora Bora and double major in Marine Biology and SCUBA.
You have been commissioned to organize a concert in commemoration of Bethany’s 100th anniversary in 2016. Choose a band, venue, and song.
Jimi Hendrix with Alicia Keys on lead vocals, and an orchestra of kids from around the world singing backup. They would sing “Amazing Grace,” followed by Jimi on stage on a “Star-Spangled Banner” solo. The venue would be the rubble left over from when the Kingdome was imploded.
When was the last time you got stuck somewhere? What was the outcome?
The last time I got stuck somewhere was just a couple of months ago when I got stuck in a duck costume. It was too small for me, but I managed to get it on. However, my head must have grown while I was in it, because it was virtually impossible to get it off. I had to have a friend help me pull it off. The outcome was a really bad headache, permanent damage to my ears, and really chaffed armpits.
What is one thing you love about being on staff at BCC?
I love being able to talk to just about anybody and really feel like they genuinely care about what I have to say.
