What is your role at Bethany, and how long have you been at the church?
I’m the Director of Discipleship and Leadership Development, and have been here since May 7, 2008.
What relevant education or work experience do you have that has prepared you for this position?
I got my Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in June 2006. I spent 10 years in business at Safeco Life Insurance Company and Mutual Travel, eight years at Church Administrator here at Bethany, and a year and a half at University Presbyterian Church, where I coordinated Second Wind Ministry and the Membership Process.
What community activities are you involved with outside of BCC?
I’m a Teaching Assistant in Fuller’s online Masters in Global Leadership program, ML530 Lifelong Development.
Tell us about your other hobbies, and about your family.
I like running, reading, and shopping at second-hand stores. My husband, Glen, is an oncology nurse at the UW Medical center; Julie is 17 and will graduate from high school in 2010; Kara is 14 and will graduate in 2012; Cameron is 11 and will graduate in 2016.
What famous person are you most likely to be mistaken for?
Holly Roe.
