Kelly Gregory

Kelly Gregory Guest ServicesWhat is your role at Bethany, and when did you start?
I’m in charge of Guest Services, and I started July 6, 2009.

What is your greatest accomplishment that isn’t work- or school-related?
My junior year in high school I was a regional champion in the Junior Crew Varsity Women’s 4+.

If you could travel back in time to your high school graduation, and you had a full-ride to the college of your choice…where would you go and what would you study?
I probably would have done exactly what I did without the full ride; I graduated from Whitworth University in December 2008 with a BA in history and my Washington State Teaching Certificate.

You have been commissioned to perform a song in commemoration of Bethany’s 100th anniversary in 2016. Choose a band, venue, and song.
It’s a toss-up. Either “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey but performed by Johan Werner, or “Too Legit” by MC Hammer.

When was the last time you got stuck somewhere? What was the outcome?
The last time I got stuck, I was trying to drive a landing barge-type boat through the rapids that form between the Princess Louisa and Jervis Inlets at Malibu Club YoungLife camp. At full power I wasn’t moving or going backwards. Seeing as it is unwise to turn around in such a situation, I stayed put for twenty minutes and was late to pick up freight on the other side.

What is one thing you love about being on staff at BCC?
I love being on staff at Bethany because everyone has been incredibly welcoming and gracious as I learn my new job. The office staff laughs with me when I print envelopes backwards four times in a row, and people really want to know what is going on in my life outside of work.
