How long have you been working at Bethany, and what is your role here?

I’ve been the Publications person since October 2007.

What is your greatest accomplishment that isn’t work- or school-related?

As a camp counselor, I once substituted a good night’s rest for a session of cleaning up throw up. And I chose to be happy the next day.

If you could travel back in time to your high school graduation, and you had a full ride to the college of your choice…where would you go and what would you study?

I would kick things off by studying design and linguistics in New Zealand. Then I would spend a few years at RISD. Every other summer would be dedicated to the Rural Studio program at Auburn. Free summers would be spent on “independent studies” in Tuscany.

You have been commissioned to organize a concert in commemoration of Bethany’s 100th anniversary in 2016. Choose a band, venue, and song.

Whitney Houston. Backed by Queen. On a floating stage at the locks. Singing “The Rose.”

No but really – maybe Alison Krauss and The Tallest Man on Earth…again at the locks…again singing “The Rose”…since I can’t think of a serious song.

When was the last time you got stuck somewhere? What was the outcome?

My sister and I went through a phase of folding each other up in the couch. The outcome was a deformed sleeper-sofa.

What is one thing you love about being on staff at BCC?

I love that a day at work feels like a day with family. I cherish the support from my co-workers and value the opportunity to work alongside such wonderful people.
