As the presence of Christ in the Green Lake and Seattle area communities, we seek to develop leaders, engage our community, support grass-roots ministries, encourage an intergenerational community, worship God through a variety of expressions, and engage our membership in community, learning, and serving. Our senior pastor is Richard Dahlstrom.
Thanks for your nod in the message yesterday to those of us who have been “around the block” a few times.
I agree with you. There is little enough said about the value of: not quitting, keeping the faith and continuing the quest over a lifetime that will ebb and flow with joy and pain.
If we were to believe that miraculous removal from suffering and heartache is the privilege of believers, then we would find it impossible to believe as we grow older.
I think that your idea of practice makes progress is a good way to reconnect with spiritual discipline that will bear fruit and encouragement during the journey – no matter what phase of it we find ourselves.
