The Aurora Commons provides a safe place of hospitality along Aurora Avenue. They seek to grow the relational capacity within the neighborhood so that, as they care for one another, they may share space, resources and the fullness of life. Puget Sound Christian Clinic (PSCC) is a free, roaming Seattle clinic providing health care to under served people in King and Snohomish Counties. All sorts of skills and gifts are needed to staff this clinic, even beyond doctors and nurses! Check out their clinic locations here. World Relief Seattle works to resettle, employ, and equip refugees for sucess in this country. This organization does great work in the Seattle area, focusing in on Kent and Des Moines. Find volunteer opportunities on their website at worldreliefseattle.org.
YouthWise is dedicated to developing Christ-followers by working in collaboration with local organizations and schools, and by spending time with kids on a consistent basis. YouthWise currently focuses on elementary, middle school, and high school students in the Northwest area of Seattle and offers new leaders free housing, allowing them to live and learn together in community and to work full-time with youth in the neighborhood. YouthWise was started by one of Bethany's own in 2003, and is now one of our partners as they seek to reach local urban youth for Christ. Contact: Greg Ingle
New Horizons workes with young men and women who are without homes. They walk alongside these youth, journeying with them towards healing so they can tell a better story of restoration, reconciliation, and sustainability. Seattle's Union Gospel Mission has worked for almost a centry to provide emergency care and long-term recovery services to hurting and homeless people in the greater Seattle area from Northgate to Kent. They are dedicated to serving, rescuing and transforming those in greatest need through the grace of Jesus Christ. Check out their volunteer opportunities all throughout the city at www.ugm.org.
