The newest Bethany Outreach Ministry partner with Puget Sound Christian Clinic (PSCC) and the Aurora Commons. It seeks to build bridges as we meet the need for free, holistic medical and spiritual care in the local Aurora community on the first and third Wednesdays every month, from 9 am–1 pm. Below are some ways you could get involved:
- Health Care Team. Medical professionals provide care for patients at the clinic. Includes nurses, doctors, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, PAs, therapists, and pharmacists.
- Spiritual Care Volunteers. Team members show Christ’s love to patients by asking about their clinic experiences, praying with and for them, and connecting them with other social service agencies within our community, when possible.
- Mobile Clinic Drivers (greatest need). These volunteers drive the mobile unit to and from the Aurora clinic location, set it up, and hang out with other volunteers and patients if time allows. Class A or B CDL is needed, but training can be provided through PSCC.
- Medical Receptionist Team. Volunteers set up the reception area prior to the start of the clinic, greet patients, ensure that patient paperwork is completed correctly, enter new patient information into our EHR program, schedule follow-up appointments, and much more!
