Bethany Community Church

We are being called to a new chapter… it is clear that the days of movement are upon us.

In February 2010, Bethany begins its third year in the new facility. When we built, we’d anticipated that the extra space would accommodate our historically slow, yet steady, growth for many years to come. Instead, as it’s clear to see, we’ve quickly grown to full or near capacity on Sunday mornings, with attendance reguarly topping 2,000.

Our staff and council have been praying, planning, and considering God’s next chapter for Bethany. We believe that God is calling us to the vision of “One Church, Many Locations,” which means that Bethany’s future will include locations for gathering that are geographically distant from our Green Lake location. We’re beginning in West Seattle and North Seattle, and anticipate more locations in the future as God leads the way.

This future will affect all of us, whether we worship at the central Green Lake location or elsewhere. The vision is rooted in three key principles that we are called to embrace: mandate, mission, and making leaders.  Check out our multi-site vision, questions, and answers for more information.
