Small Groups

Sharing Life in Small Groups

Small Groups will continue in much the same way they have at Bethany. These are communities of people who meet together over a longer period of time.  Like Community Groups, these groups are intended to move people toward an ever-deepening relationship with Christ. These are groups of 6-18 people who commit to each other for at least one year.  While each group has its own unique flavor, we ask for all groups to incorporate four specific elements into their group experience during the course of the year: study, prayer and care, fellowship, and service.

The more intimate nature of these groups suggests that the best way for them to form is not by arbitrarily connecting strangers based on geography, life demographics, or other such factors. Therefore, instead of matching people into these groups, our hope is that they will grow and form organically from relationships established in Community Groups and elsewhere.  This process will result in better, deeper Small Groups experiences for participants.

Bethany will continue to provide resources, support, service opportunities, and other materials to help groups get the most out of their experience.
