THE NEXT STEP: Continuing the Conversation of Racial Reconciliation & Biblical Justice
Reconciliation has been at the core of Bethany Community Church since the beginning. Our church was founded 100 years ago as a mission to Native Americans in Seattle, seeking to both proclaim the Good News of Christ and celebrate their rich heritage. As part of our legacy, we want to continue the conversation and work around racial reconciliation and Biblical justice as we strive to celebrate our diversity, come alongside those in our church family who are hurting, and be transformed into the image of Christ—together.
We are excited to welcome the incredibly gifted and anointed speaker and author, Rev. Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil, as she teaches on racial reconciliation and having a Biblical view of justice. Dr. Brenda is known as an international trailblazer, leading individuals, communities, and organizations to biblical reconciliation. She was featured as one of the 50 most influential women to watch by Christianity Today in 2012, and is the author of several books, including "Roadmap to Reconciliation" and "A Credible Witness: Reflections on Power, Evangelism and Race."
