Fellowship and Support for Women

Just as God is a God of relationship, He designed us to desire fellowship with Him and with each other. Our support and fellowship sessions are designed with a built-in time to gather, meet other women of Bethany, share ideas, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We want to extend the transforming presence of Jesus Christ to women in all seasons of life.

GROUPS MEETING THIS SUMMER:

Did you know that one in six couples suffers from infertility? You are not alone in this journey. Hoping Like Hannah is a small group for women without children who are experiencing issues of infertility and/or miscarriage. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe place to share, pray for each other, and learn more about God’s plan for each unique situation while drawing closer to Him. The group meets every other Thursday night.

This outreach ministry combines the gift of a hand-tied quilt with the gift of prayer for someone in need. Our quilts are a statement of faith and a testimony to our belief in God and in the power of prayer. Join us for a work day! Don’t know how to quilt? We would be happy to get you started! Just want to learn more? Stop by for all or part of the time.
Work days: 2nd Saturday of the month, 11am-2pm

This group was created with the hope of connecting women facing the challenges and opportunities of career in light of their identity in Christ. We welcome you to join us for quarterly events as we explore issues surrounding what it is like to be a Godly career woman through various stages and transitions in life such as: being single in your 30s; balancing marriage and work demands; being a mom and balancing work and family; dealing with work and unexpected shifts in life; finding a career that uses the gifts God has given you.

MOPS is a relevant and caring network that makes moms—whether urban, suburban, working, stay-at-home, single, or married—better moms through trusted resources and relationships. We meet October through May to talk, eat, listen, and be mentored by women who already have walked these paths.

Many women who have experienced abortion are carrying their burden in secret for fear of condemnation and rejection. Guilt, shame, sadness, and regret keep them from experiencing God’s grace and forgiveness. The good news is two-fold: God can heal your broken heart and you are not alone. This is a nine-week Bible study for women who are struggling from the effects of a past abortion. We will use Linda Cochrane’s book, Forgiven and Set Free, and together we will walk the path to healing in a safe, confidential, and caring community.
The next group will start meeting in September 2012, if you are interested in the group, or have any questions, please contact the leader.
