Believing that we are not just here for ourselves, we encourage our congregation to be involved in serving our community outside the church, by joining in the efforts of one of our partnerships in the area that are already doing vital work, or by getting involved in our neighborhood, schools, or athletic clubs. There are many ways to get involved.
Arden Nursing Home
Arden Nursing Home provides care for elderly residents. We aim to lift residents’ spirits and build relationships by engaging with them numerous times a year through Christmas caroling, playing games, doing arts and crafts, and more.
Hopelink in Shoreline provides a variety of services to families who need a little extra help. We partner with them during the year by providing gifts at Christmas and helping to sort food occasionally.
Shorewood High School Pizza Lunch
Join us as we handout free pizza to over 120 local High School students every week! This is a great opportunity to bless these students and build relationships with teenagers in our community. Contact Gretchen Gwaltney.
Community Breakfast on Aurora
Our mission is to be people who exist to shine a light into our community by meeting people in their place of need and walking with them toward mutual growth and healing through relationship and hospitality. We want to encourage you to join the Community Breakfast on Aurora team as we share God’s love and strive to build bridges between the social and cultural divides in our community.
Vision House/Jacob’s Well
Vision House is a Christian social service agency based near Seattle. Since 1990, Vision House has provided transitional housing, support services, and childcare for homeless mothers and their children. Jacob's Well is an extension of Vision House that opened in 2013.
Young Life believes in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically influenced when caring adults come alongside them and share God’s love. YL Leaders build relationships with middle school and high school kids and organize weekly events, lead Bible studies, and invite kids to world-class summer camps to hear about the great love of Jesus Christ.
YoungLives is a part of Young Life that ministers to teen moms. We have partnered with them, providing financial support as well as volunteer support to mentor the moms and provide childcare during clubs.

Bethany's Global Outreach is based on the belief that changing the way we live can change the world. We are challenging ourselves to reject the consumerism and greed of our culture and instead move toward lives of generosity. Our global outreach does not assume that we can "fix" the world's problems, but that we have something we can contribute to its reconciliation as representatives of Christ's body in the world. There are a number of ways in which Bethany members can get involved.
