Sundays at Bethany North

If you are new to Bethany North, we know there’s nothing quite like visiting a new church for the first time; the new faces, strange places, and that feeling that you stand out. But know that you’re not alone—we have all been there. We as a church want to be a place where you feel welcome and at ease. If you do visit on Sunday, grab a cup of coffee in the commons before the service and stop by the information desk—we would love to meet you in person!

What to Expect

Bethany North provides a low-key, casual atmosphere in our worship service. We invite you to come as you are and participate in as much or as little as the service as you like.

Just inside the door you will find greeters who can help you find your way. If you have children, our volunteers will walk you through our security system and show you where the classrooms are. Children, 0 through Pre-Kindergarten have class throughout the whole service; children in Kindergarten and up are in the worship service and are dismissed just before the sermon to go to their classes. Find out more about what we have for kids, including locations and times.

The worship service lasts for about 75 minutes. We typically begin with a few songs of worship, followed by announcements, and perhaps a moment to dedicate a child and their parents to God (more information on Baby Dedications). An offering plate is passed, and then the children are dismissed, followed by scripture reading and a sermon on that passage. The service closes with a couple more songs and then we are dismissed.

We have coffee available between the two services in the Commons, which gives us a chance to meet each other. Because coffee is not allowed in the performing arts center, we end it early enough for those attending the 11am service to finish before heading in to worship. Those who have attended the 9am are welcome to stay and continue to visit in the commons.

Deaf Ministry

To make services accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing community, ASL interpretation is available at the 11am service. Interpretation is located on the right side of the stage.

Please let us know how we can make you feel at home.
